How It Works

How to compare & get your eSIM

WaviSIM compares plans from top eSIM providers. Select your destination, compare side by side, and click through to purchase on the provider's site — all in minutes.

1

Check your device compatibility

Before buying, make sure your phone supports eSIM. Go to Settings → About Phone or Settings → Cellular and look for "Add eSIM" or "Add Data Plan". Most iPhones from XS onwards, Google Pixel 3+, and Samsung Galaxy S20+ support eSIM. If you don't see the option, contact your manufacturer.

💡 Tip: Some carrier-locked devices may not support eSIM even if the hardware does. Check with your home carrier if unsure.
2

Compare plans for your destination

Head to our Destinations page and select your country or region. You'll see synced plans from available providers listed side by side with real pricing, data allowances, validity periods, and network speeds. Use filters to narrow by data size, duration, or provider.

💡 Tip: For multi-country trips, look for regional plans — they're usually more cost-effective than buying separate local eSIMs for each country.
3

Click through to the provider and purchase

Once you've found the right plan, click "Get Deal" or "Compare & Get Deal". You'll be taken directly to the provider's own website to complete your purchase securely. If a promo code is shown, apply it at checkout. Your QR code and activation instructions are delivered by the provider.

💡 Tip: Don't install the eSIM until you're ready to use it — some plans start counting validity from activation, not purchase.
4

Install your eSIM

Open your phone's camera or QR code scanner and point it at the QR code. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the eSIM. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add eSIM. The installation takes about 60 seconds.

💡 Tip: You'll need a Wi-Fi or cellular connection to download the eSIM profile. Do this before you travel, or at an airport with Wi-Fi.
5

Enable data roaming and go!

Once installed, select your new eSIM as the data line in your phone's cellular settings, then enable Data Roaming. Your regular SIM stays active for calls and texts from home. When you land at your destination, your eSIM will connect automatically to local networks.

💡 Tip: Set your primary line to your home SIM (for calls/SMS) and your data to the travel eSIM. This way you never miss a message while staying online.
